That Place You Love: Real People. Real Stories.
Round-Up on Perception; Next-Up Holiday. Saturday is still not Friday... I know.
I’m guilty of it, too.
I like to send out the Round-Up on Friday, but I’ve been off the past few weeks.
It seems there was always something happening on Friday that prevented me from properly sitting down and writing.
It’s interesting (for me).
I made a promise to myself that writing That Place You Love stories would never feel like homework or a job or a chore. If I were going to write & publish every week, it had to be an act of positive engagement.
During the summer months, I’ve found Fridays have more social commitments.
Some have been forced upon me, some have been scheduled for months, and some have been pleasantly spontaneous.
If I can’t find the time within these hours to disconnect from my environment and my frontal brain noise/chatter, then I let it go…
And make that time the next day.
Like right now!

Next Up: HOLIDAY
We’re deep into summer in the Northern Hemisphere where many people are traveling, taking a break from work or school, or just taking it slower due to the weather.
I remember having to write essays as a kid after summer vacation.
They were often “We did this… then we did that.” I’d like to revisit the theme and really ponder what holiday offers.
Disconnecting from the usual flow of life, what can I learn about myself when on holiday?
Where does HOLIDAY take you?
